Dear Dr. Gravlee:

 About 10 months ago I wrote to you concerning our Halflinger horse "Buttercup". She was 13 years old at that time and had very bad cracks in her front hooves (see “before” pictures). Her former owner said she has always had trouble with cracking. They were big cracks and I wanted to make sure we are doing the best we could for her since she is a wonderful bomb proof “kid perfect” horse. I included a little picture of her so you can see the sweet animal that we have the pleasure of owning.

Under your direction, we began feeding her a measured 1/2 half cup of Farrier's Formula Double Strength each evening (she is 1200 pounds). I am happy to report that if you look at the “after” pictures you will see a great improvement in her hooves. I almost had forgotten how bad her feet were when we got her and those original pictures stunned me a little again.

“Buttercup” will take the Farrier's Formula Double Strength out of your hand in the pasture, but sometimes she likes it so much that you have to make sure that she doesn’t suck your whole hand in during her excitement. She is so fond of the product that she will come over in the pasture and put her nose into her halter without being asked to because she knows she is going to the barn for the Farrier’s Formula. She is truly the sweetest horse I have even seen and so she deserves “going the extra mile” to work with her feet.

Our farrier was also very impressed with the progress of her feet. Thanks for all your help and advice!
